I'm surprised no one mentioned that this has been out. Well, I bought it. It's bare bones, just the album. The sound quality is completely squashed and compressed, and even lower fidelity compared to the vinyl. I had to do some major re-EQing for the iPod. It's a shame about the compression because the punch that 'Dropped Dishes' had is all but gone. Oh well, that completes my Spoons purchases.

Sorry, off-topic ...

Rubellan, did you buy the recent re-release of Arias and Symphonies? I'm curious to know what the remastering is like on that. The extra tracks don't entice me to (re)buy the CD. Thanks.

I didn't buy the Arias special edition. The original CD was sufficient for me, though it is also highly compressed. Whether or not they remastered the new CD is not important because I suspect it would still be highly compressed.

I bought my Stick CD off of a vendor on eBay, and had it within a week. At least it was cheap.

I got this back at the end of August off of a vendor on Amazon and got it within a few days. It was around $7.50 plus shipping. I got it to complete my Spoons collection but haven't even had a chance to listen to it. "Arias" and "Talk Back" are my two favorite Spoons albums anyways so this was just filler stuff for me. Kind of bummed out about Scott's review. You think this being a band release cd that the audio would be better.

The remastering on the 30th anniversary of "Arias and Symphonies" is, you guessed it, loud and brick-walled. However, I don't think it's that bad, actually. I've heard far worse offenders.

Hmm, guess I'll wait until I need a filler item for free shipping :-D. Thanks for the comments.
