Culture Factory is reissuing Points On The Curve (one of my favorite albums of all time) and Mosaic on May 21. No bonus tracks, which is the norm for this label (although their upcoming Robert Palmer Sneakin' Sally... reissue will have some).
Their reissues are packaged well (mini sleeves that recreate the inserts and record labels) but have a tendency to be brickwalled.
Would have loved some bonus tracks of the 12" mixes, along with the single edit of "Don't Let Go." Oh well...

Pass pass PASS. Existing CDs sound grand.

What's the point of reissuing these without adding b-sides or remixes? It's not hard to find these second-hand. Baffling.

When I saw this thread, my interest became intense. However, after reading that the quality won't be here as well as the remixes I've been waiting for - like FOREVER - I feel defeated. There really isn't any sense behind these releases. Good to know that the originals are still available. Another sigh.

Unless there's a chance of a 2cd best of with one cd containing all the 7" mixes and the other with all the 12" mixes. I can see Music Club Deluxe doing something like this.

Yes, yes, yes - THIS is exactly what I want. I tried getting something like this going when I worked at Universal but had no luck. As mentioned above, I want the 7" edits of songs like "Don't Let Go" and "To Live And Die In L.A." and all of their cool 12" mixes.
I also thought "Hypnotize Me" should have been a bigger hit. I saw the Mosaic tour right around that time; the opening act was Eight Seconds. This was at the long since demolished Front Row Theatre in Cleveland. Le sigh.
Oh, and their website says they are playing a show in London soon with original drummer Darren Costin; first time he's played with them since 1985!

There is a 2-CD called "The Remix Collection", but it seems to be an illegal compilation.... /JW
