I have ordered The 12 Inches - Vol. 1 (2 Discs) only thing that worries me though is it being released by Repertoire who in the past have been responsible for making mistakes on releases for instance the recent Sparks 12 inches compilation and for shitty mastering. I'm going to avoid buying White Heat 30 Hits as that's brickwalled to hell even though it has the DVD.

Thanks for the info on White Heat Moni. As you I hope Repertoire will do a good job on this.

Is the White Heat 30 Hits the same as the 2cd/1dvd that was released and sold on the Official Icehouse webpage?

Why release The Best Of when there's White Heat?

Because "The Best Of" is only 1 disc and would be priced at much less than the "White Heat" 3-disc collection (2 CDs + DVD). That way fans have a choice.

I already own "White Heat", so I'll be adding "The 12 Inches - Vol. 1" to my collection.

The "Primitive Man" looks like it's going to have different bonus tracks from the 30th Anniversary reissue except for one track. Depending on how good those are, man I really don't want to have to buy this album again. The "Best Of" seems to consist of a lot of radio versions which if I'm not mistaken is already on the "White Heat" cd. Can anyone confirm? Like Bellenger1981, I really only want to buy the "12 Inches".

Where are the track listings for Primitive Man and the Best Of?

Did White Heat really contain all radio versions or the actual 7" mixes. If the Best Of will have official 7" versions ,then it might be worth getting !

Nice...finally a near-perfect single disc set. Although I have the White Heat set and the previous Masterfile and Great Southern Land comps, this new set really hits the mark - the big glaring ommission of Cross The Border is a head-scratcher due to its mass popularity on 80s college rock stations and it being a live staple.

So the 12" Collection and The Best Of Icehouse will be on my to buy list...

I've often wondered if the single mix of No Promises is the same as the album version. Wasn't the US 7" mix a shorter version ?
