How idiotic is the running order of that second disc [?]

The lack of the 7 inch remix of Wide Boy escapes me, really.
Where is the Wild Horses extended mix? Should have been included!
Where is Progress?!
And the 6:00 minute extended dance mix of I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me? (which didn’t make the Human Racing reissue, would have been nice to add here). Same goes for the remixed 3:36 version of Dancing Girls.
They should also include missing Human Racing remaster 12#8243;‘s such as Dancing Girls (2nd 12#8243; Disco Version), Human Racing (Simon Boswell remix) and Drum Talk (live).
Besides, who compiled that ridiculous track running order ?! ... 12 inch version-live version-12 inch version-live version etc.

According to the press release I read, Nik himself chose the running order of the second disc.
Still looking for my girl with auburn hair and tawny eyes...

Could the running order be a mistake and be corrected on the actual disc?

Got my cd today. I was quite shocked to hear that disc 1 maybe sourced from a poor master tape. There seems to be noise almost like vinyl in between many of the tracks (apparent thru headphones at a loud volume). Has anyone else noticed that or did i just get a fucked up cd ?

I haven't listened to it through headphones yet just through my stereo and to be honest i never noticed anything unusual. What i will say though is that i think the sound on it is great.I see there are a few people complaining about it on amazon so there must be an issue.

Other releases like the recent Duran Duran remasters have had faults too. I think the masters haven't been taken care of properly and are now in a poor state. Unless masters are kept in excellent condition, remasters decades down the line will not sound perfect. The original transfers for the LP will probably still sound superior.
