Looks like little more than a repackaging of the previous best of, which was terrible sound quality, as were all of the Rats reissues. Some of the worst I've heard. Though this one has 2 new songs because, to my surprise, I guess they've reformed and are recording a new album. Not really sure if I care yet...

Yes, they're touring as well...

And if you alter the words slightly you get Classic Rat Shits :)

Would that sum up the sound quality?

Indeed. The sound quality on the 2005 remasters is a bloated, distorted mess. Hopefully, we'll get a new mastering on this new best-of release, mastering which maintains the integrity of the original recordings. Of course, this is asking for a lot!

The 2005 reissues were overseen by Geldof himself, and I could easily see him tell them to turn it up LOUD, without realizing the consenquences. I expect the same from this new comp, but someone can post a screenshot when it's released and we will see...

This new compilation would also be the perfect opportunity to include the single version of "Someone's Looking At You" ... on CD for the first time? However, I am not counting on that or non-brick-walled sound quality.
