Wish lists for plain original album box set

Wish lists for plain original album box set

Postby pmppk » Sun Aug 18, 2013 2:51 pm

Recently I've bought some of original album series box sets which are quite a bargain, such as Paul Young, Love & Rockets, The Smiths. Personally, I like the idea of mini vinyl replicate like in the Smiths Complete box, which were done with care and attention to detail. The price may be a bit more expensive, compare to those 5cd budget cardboard case, but a lot more attractive packaging.

Mostly, my wish lists are bands that I have most of their album only on vinyl or bands that I like some of their songs but never really collected their albums.

So here are my wishlist for 5CD (or more) original album series.
1. ABC
2. Big Country
3. The Fixx
4. China Crisis
5. Blondies
6. Nick Heyward

I could go for The Fixx. I only have Phantoms, remastered, on CD.

I actually don't mind the no-frills (ie. no booklet) ones, such as the BMG Thompson Twins set. It's nice to get a booklet, but chances are, I'll only look at it once, so no big deal for me.

What stops me from buying more of these sets are that I usually have a few of the albums in the box, or for the other sets, I don't like the artist enough to pay their asking price (eg. Psychedelic Furs).
