Crappy bonus selection. Modern mixes as opposed to the original 12" versions !

Better than the three live bonus tracks from the previous remaster.
To be fair, from looking at Discogs, there were only two extended mixes from the first album: "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "She Bop". But they still fucked it up by having one of the two. Isn't Epic under the Sony umbrella?

Maybe I'll get it if the price is right (eg. clearance).

This is like throwing a party and no one shows up. There’s no way I’m buying this!

Honestly, the track listing of this “30th Anniversary Deluxe Celebration” stinks to high heaven. It would be nice if Sony/Legacy would reconsider the track selection before its release, at least
including the main 7#8243; and 12#8243; mixes. However, I’m quite certain that would be a “no”. Sad and missed opportunity by Sony – I’d have bought this – even at the price – but not with the essential 7" & 12#8243; cuts missing – so Sony: another lost sale.

Really, no Girls Just Want to Have Fun 12#8243;… No Goonies, No Goonies 12#8243;, No Money Changes Everything (Live). Really? I don’t need new remixes…they are NEVER good or listenable, for that matter and they don’t need to be on a 30th anniversary reissue. Put them on YouTube or Soundcloud or another online stream service, not here. Geez!

I like those 80#8242;s re-issues because that’s when my musical taste was formed (between the age 10-20). If I want to listen to a 2013 remix, I ask my nephew to download me some. Cindy represents the 80#8242;s for me, so when buying her CD (and not downloading), so actually giving money to her record company, I expect music from the 80#8242;s and not from 2013. Are the record company’s that dumb and arrogant. Why
not include all those 80#8242;s mixes. I would buy it inmediately.
But now, once again it’s a miss and a pass.

And yes, my CD player does have a stop button, but I like to use them all, and not paying for minutes never called for. Same as now. I have to pay appereantly 50 bucks for stickers/special packaging and fees for the ’13 remix people.

No thanks.

I'm no fan of modern remixes, either, but as I said in another forum, there's room for BOTH the new and old remixes on this release! As it stands, the bonus disc is only about 30 minutes long. They could easily fill that with all the missing 12" mixes and b-sides. And they could leave the 2013 remixes on there as well. It would all fit on 2 discs. This special edition is another wasted opportunity.

Cyndi chose the selection of tracks. Blame her.

Strange choice not to include those 12" mixes.....but I am curious to hear some of those demo's.

I should've mentioned price doubled on Amazon three days ago. I wish i would've ordered at original price now. This keeps happening and i end up NEVER purchasing these items as i'm not paying double for them!

The anniversary tour, the album re-issue, the 3D set design packaging, the remixers of the new mixes, etc. are all decisions Cyndi was involved in. Epic/Sony would never have gone to such lengths... they'd simply have slapped 2x 12" mixes on the end of their usual CD pressing and given it a new sticker. I have no "proof" but seriously? It's exactly her style... she's celebrating.

I'm sure most of you already know about it, but you can get most of Cyndi's remixes on the Japanese remix comp "The Best Remixes": http://www.discogs.com/Cyndi-Lauper-The ... ase/456919

Sure it's missing Dub Versions and such, but let's be real. That stuff is seriously unlikely to see a CD release, ever. :(

thanks for this info

I just bought this and will save $40 (just to get what I consider the only desirable, previously not available on the regular release cd track, She-Bop remix)

Sugoi !!!
