Has there ever been an official reissue/CD release of SSQ's Playback (1983) or JSJ's Trans-Atlantic (1984) albums??

Hi Cory. I ride on the train with Stacey a lot of times and she mentioned to me that Jon and her plan to release Playback on cd. I just talked to her like a week ago and she said this is in the works but didn't give me an eta. Hopefully it is soon. Just curious, how many of you in are actually interested in buying this album on cd? I, for one, would probably get a few copies. [:D]

Woah, woah, woah...hold it - did you say you ride the train with Stacey? WHAAAAAAAAA? That's too cool!!! Can you ask her to autograph my copy when it's available?! [:p] I would definitely buy it - probably one of my top 20 albums from the 80's!! (I do like JSJ, but not nearly as much as SSQ). You should ask her if Jon ever intends on re-issuing his stuff too.

I would buy it, and I also think it would have potential to do very well outside of 80s/new wave fans. They played "Anonymous" recently on the I Die/You Die podcast, which suggests that SSQ might find a fanbase among the darkwave crowd.

I've been hoping for a release of this for years. Hopefully if they do release this she is well aware of the brick walling debacles and they know better than to release it brick walled. When you talk to her again please impress this upon her, thanks. [:)]

I will give her the message guys. She once in awhile takes the train from the San Fernando Valley to Fullerton, CA to see Jon to do recordings of their new stuff. I normally have a drink or two with her and chat about the 80's. Cory, next time I see her, I will have her hold up a "Cory Rocks!!!" on a piece of paper and take a picture for you and send it to you. To thefxc, my favorite song is "Anonymous".

Funny is Stacey always looks for me when she is on the train. I think I am her biggest fan on there.

I would definitely buy the reissue. As an 11 year old boy in 1984, I thought I had never seen any record cover as sexy as SSQ's Playback.
And Stacey's voice on Anonymous just melt me....[:I]

Hope they can include the original single "Playback" when she was just Q. (Stacey Q's Greatest Hits compilation from years back had a re-recording of it.)

SSQ is the dictionary definition of new wave. I'll certainly be up for buying a copy should this ever happens.
