Yes very true -- btw Jam science release is sold out. So either it was pulled or these are again very very limited releases. So again it becomes a rarity--

Well I received this a week ago and listened to it finally today... unfortunately this is most definitely a vinyl remaster. You can hear clicks and pops on most tracks. You actually hear them prominently on the very first 3 seconds. I am not sure but they could have remastered the "Y Records years" compilation as those seemed to be derived from the masters. I fear the masters were ditched.
The good plus about this reissue is the booklet. It gives extremely detailed information about each song, and illuminates the recording process that immerses you into their creative process. After reading the notes and listening to the tracks you almost feel like you were there (except for the clicks and pops).
I have heard they are going to release this remaster on 180 gram vinyl (go figure).
Buy only if you want to support the artist (which is really nice to do) or find and/or keep your Y records compilation.
