I have the 2009 version . Surprised that Rio wasn't reissued in the box set format like the debut album and Ragged Tiger were from a while back . I'm sure this would've been a great opportunity to throw in a dvd containing all the promo videos , top of the pops appearances etc.

They decided on releasing the Hammersmih '82 gig as seperate dvd + included the 'Rio'-era videos + TOTP appearances on that one. And possibly earned a few bucks more doing it that way

i have all those already.

there are still, many, many edits, instrumentals and remixes that haven't appeared on cd yet.

some were digital bonuses. like the 'my own way' night version instrumental.

would be nice to have those in better quality someday.

My Own Way was a great single . It's a shame that the band themselves aren't that fond of it and have rarely performed it live either. Personally an extended Carnival mix would've been awesome.

Have the 2009, as well as the Hammersmith DVD. Would have bought them again, though, had they released both as a three-disc boxset, like the other remastered boxsets. I guess the label is too stupid to realize that many other fans would, too. Instead, I'll pass. Already have the 2CD book twice (first one I got was a bit dinged, so I bought it again when it was cheap).

The 2015 Japanese release of Rio has two exclusive tracks, My Own Way (inst.) and Hold Back The Rain (alternate mix).

Just got the Japanese version through the mail today, but these two exclusive tracks weren't included after all
There is no mentioning of any bonus tracks on the Obi or the leaflet either.

All of the internet sites have corrected the track listing except for HMV.

The two bonus tracks are only on the digital version, I think. I got the 2015 version as well. I must say i prefer the digipak to the casebound packaging.

Thanx, I'll get those tracks from there. Still happy to get the reissue CD since I missed the 2009 Dlx version

JP resale value is usually good, though

They did say, the tracklisting wasn't confirmed.

You could still return it to the seller.

Hardly SDE's fault when all they were doing was reporting what was listed on the various sites. They made a point of saying that it was unconfirmed.
