Coming Feb 4 from Cherry Red. I only know "CCCan't You See" from various compilations; never really knew the song or band back in the day. Is the album any good?

This is a re-pressed cd. I have the original from a few years ago. Sounded a little too loud.

It's a pretty good CD. "Cccan't You See" and "Take Me Now" are my favorites and most of the mixes of both are good. It's all pleasantly "outside the box", kind of synthpop punk here and there lol. I don't know where cherry red got their info that "Cccan't You See" was a top 30 pop hit in the USA unless they meant the Billboard Dance Club Play charts because they certainly never made an appearance on the Pop charts here.

As for sound quality, I think the CD sounds fine. Not a fan of
some of the overblown "brickwalling" out there (which I don't consider this CD to suffer from) but after nearly 20yrs of music mastering that's more compressed and, to varying degrees, considerably louder than the first 10yrs of the CD's existence, I have come to accept that this is the new normal and it doesn't bother me all that much.

If you're a fan of mid 80s synthpop, definitely at least check it out.

I doubt it. I would prefer a CD but that's for Granddads.

Sure I would prefer a CD too. 90% of all sales off the new ABBA album were physical CDs. Only 10% digital. Go figure...
It's like CDs are not PC (politically correct) anymore.

When the Minimal Wave release was first announced I read elsewhere (now can't recall where) that a digital release would also be available. They only have pre-orders up for the vinyl though. Here's hoping.

Yes but the Great Granddads want their LPs :D

Strange they include My Private Tokyo but not Je t'aime though.
