Lost in the meanders of the net, this is what I find... The reedition of The Bridge by Thomas Leer & Robert Rental !Here I am again with the electronic sounds of Cabaret Voltaire - Throbbing Gristle - SPK, very stressful, grating 1979 period... It's quite simple, I don't know what I like the most in this work : the pleasure of hurting my ears by an industrial sound which tries to be heard or to rediscover the sound of what was going to become the New Wave synthpop version.
When I think of the accessible "The Scale of Ten" 1984 (everything seems accessible after listening to The Bridge ;-)) or the almost Jazzy "From Sci-Fi To Barfly" 2015 by Thomas Leer and I forget the magnificent parenthesis The Act with Claudia Brucken... I even wonder if it's the same Thomas Leer...
A small extract ...

I love it... but I wouldn't listen to it every day!

Well, it's not that extreme, certainly not in the Throbbing Gristle or early SPK vein, but it was a landmark album of the time. What's more interesting, though, is will there be any bonuses and if so, which.

I don't see any bonus according to the Mute website and even a new release date of 8 April 2022
here's the link : https://mutebank.co.uk/products/thomas- ... -bridge-cd

I've time for any Thomas Leer. I just heard an interesting podcast with him as a guest on Martyn Ware's "Electronically Yours." He's definitely an interesting artist.

I wish they would reissue a definitive "The Scale Of Ten." I have two of the 12" singles from it but never got the album and the 2004 CD is expensive.

I'm lucky enough to have the cd "The Scale Of Ten" filled to the brim (78'35") and it's only happiness...
I would be curious to know how many cd's and LP's have been sold since 1984... Too few for sure.
In any case, it doesn't hurt the ears, this one ! lol

Agree with you. The BMG CD edition wasn't bad but it left out the original edited versions of international, #1 and some other b-side, There was easily material for 2 cd edition.

I`ve just listened to Scale Of Ten for the first time in its entirety and I think the album sounds absolutely wonderful especially along with the bonus tracks.
The production is simply divine.

I have just acquired "1982" on cd.
It's worth a listen too.

I have the original issue of this CD. Very cool early electronic work. I would compare it to very early Human League and maybe some of Fad Gadget's early stuff. If you have heard Leer's first single, "Private Plane", you would have a pretty good idea of what to expect. Although most of this album is instrumental.
