There's a new vinyl Human League box set called The Virgin Years coming in November. Although it should perhaps be called The Joanne And Susan Years as the first two albums are missing

Lets hope they do something special for the first 2 albums . still missing the Australian version of Marianne in my collection. Whilst I think Physical copies still have a place I am still struggling with the resurgence of Vinyl especially when they do not do a CD version. surely a lot of us who love the bands on this forum had the original Vinyls / picture discs / coloured vinyls and kept the rare items and converted the rest to CD . Dont get me wrong, took me a long time to convert to CD as i loved vinyl but dont wish to start collecting that again . so these sets must be for completists ( understand the attraction if there are tracks that have not been released before)
So back on track would love to see some deluxe versions of the first two albums either on CD or download

Should be interesting to see what the content will be, can't be much in the way of bonus/rare material, if it is correct the first 2 albums will be ignored that staggers me!

Formed in Sheffield in 1977 The Human League are one of the most renowned English synth-pop bands. Initially an experimental electronic outfit, the group signed to Virgin Records in 1979 and attained widespread commercial success with their third album Dare in 1981. The album contained four hit singles, including the UK/US number one hit “Don’t You Want Me”.

Under Oakey’s leadership, the Human League have evolved into a commercially successful New Pop band, with a line-up including female vocalists Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley.

Since 1978, the Human League have released nine studio albums, two remix albums, one live album, six EPs, 30 singles and several compilation albums. They have had five albums and 15 Top 20 singles and had sold more than 20 million records worldwide by 2010.

This set contains their albums from their time with Virgin Records and all records come in coloured vinyl (chosen by the band) and in tip on sleeves, all housed in a sturdy box with a poster. The band have just completed a sold-out UK tour playing Dare in its entirety.
