The Cult is back.
I hesitated a lot to talk about it here on the forum because we talk about a lot of 80's genre but rarely about this kind of band.
The Cult "rocked" my childhood in 1984 by a Dreamtime that we liked to place in the gothic Rock. Then there was the magnificent and very different "Love" and then the thunderous "Electric" which distanced me from the band for a long time. However, I love Ian Atsbury's voice and Billy Duffy knows how to touch me with his guitars. To finish with Electric, you have to listen to "Electric Peace" released in 2013 which was the album refused by the band apparently because of the deja-vu sound and without surprise. They chose a different producer and probably they were right. I think the initial album is superb and I thank them for having released it to us too! lol
and so The Cult is back !!! with their eleventh album "Under The Midnight Sun

I have both "Love" and "Electric" and I did enjoy both.

Their new songs sound a lot like The Mission.
