In December all four Virgin era albums by Culture Club (Kissing To Be Clever, Colour By Numbers, Waking Up With The House On Fire, From Luxury To Heartache) as well as Boy George's two solo albums from the 80s (Sold and Tense Nervous Headache) are being reissued. Good news. I've been wishing for a more in-depth reissue of From Luxury To Heartache, perhaps an issue that included the mixes of "Heaven's Children" & a few demos from these sessions. This is the 2nd round of reissues for the Culture Club catalog, which isn't bad consider there are deserving catalogs that haven't seen a single reissue campaign. Having said that, there are also catalogs that have received numerous treatments. I think Culture Club's Virgin catalog still has potential for something more advanced.

Most of these track listings are pretty good. Waking Up With the House on Fire could have had the extended version of The Medal Song instead of the single version...and instead of The War Song in every language, it would have been nice to have both the shriek mix and the ultimate dance mix...because every time this track appears on CD it's the ultimate dance mix even when listed as the shriek mix...so I question whether it will actually be the shriek mix on this release. The Sold CD also could have been expanded to 2 discs to include all the mixes of Everything I Own and the extended version of Live My Life.

Thrilled to get the extended dance mix of Gusto Blusto on CD at last on From Luxury to Heartache.

Just got all four CC albums through the mail. Have played the first two so far and am quite impressed. The Japanese do put exceptional care and time in putting out superior stuff! The remastering on both KTBC and CBN is beautifully sequenced. No harshness or brick walling what so ever. I ordered through CDJapan a week ago and got Fed Ex Priority Mail for shipping (best way). Also noticed now that importcds.com is selling them for roughly $22 each. I guess if you're in the US it's probably the best way now.

Got my copies this week, and you are right--it is indeed the Shriek Mix at last, running approximately 6 minutes and 50 seconds long.

Got through listening to all the CC albums and Sold . Worth every penny. Some of the bonus tracks could've been added. Never liked the War Song let alone all the various language remixes. And on Sold the missing 12" mix would've been awesome too. But overall these reissues are excellent.
