Virgin Records has been releasing digital downloads of classic Human League singles this year which in general is pretty cool, but yesterday's release of "The Lebanon" looks especially interesting as it includes the "Instrumental Version" which was previously only ever available on 12" vinyl! I'm off camping for the weekend and am unable to properly sample the sound quality at this time but thought if it's from master tapes, then it is indeed newsworthy for League fans!
So far, I believe "The Lebanon" is the only digital single to include any tracks that have yet to appear on any CD or digital download format. I had hoped the "Louise" digital single would include "The Sign (Extended Re-Mix (Version))" from the 7" but sadly that was not the case, so "The Labanon (Instrumental)" is a pleasant surprise. Hoping for the Instrumental and Acapella versions of "Human" and the Instrumental, Dub and Acapella versions of "I Need Your Loving" soon.
