Anyone else have any of these?
I have:
Propoganda "Calling on Moscow" (not THAT Propoganda)
The Continentals "Fizz Pop Modern Rock"
Nu Musik "Straight Lines"
The Clash "Black Market Clash"
Shakin' Stevens (w/ his version of Marie Marie)
...and I just picked up Cheap Trick's "Found All the Parts" for a buck (!) yesterday which got me thinking about these.
I really liked the Nu Musik one, as it was my first introduction to their work. The Clash one is great (9 songs!).
The others aren't 'mind-blowing', but I'm glad I have them just the same. Decent enough new-wave rock. (Shakin' Stevens is a rockabilly artist for those unfamiliar with him).
Kind of a neat format in retrospect, though I don't remember them being all that less expensive than albums back in their day. If they'd have priced them right, it would have been a great way to promote new 'new-wave' acts...
