I'm talking about the record collecting kind. Still, I think I have about twelve inches of love for this acrylic and aluminum masterpiece of a turntable from Montenegro:

Click on Lusso. At prices upwards of $47,000 this sexy machine is a bit excessy. Still, I'd love to get people's input like Eight6's.

Interesting looking to be sure, as are many high end audio designs. But at $47K, I'd probably pass. If I had no price barrier, I'd probably still pick a Simon Yorke unit, even though they aren't the most expensive. If they're good enough for the Library Of Congress, who am I to doubt?

Here is their model line up:

I really like the S7, and now that it isn't a current model, it can be had for a "real world" price of about $4 to $5K. (Hey, I can still dream can't I?)

Now if I needed an absolute showpiece, I'd lean towards:

Admittedly, I can't come up with a single argument justifying a 6 figure turntable...but I'd certainly try if I had the wherewithal to drop that kind of coin on such a toy.

I'm STILL "in the Zone"...are you?

I love beautiful industrial design that can either tactfully blend in to an environment or tastefully stand out. That Caliburn is rather beauteous. Indeed, an item of dreams.....
