I am compiling a list of new wave songs that have been remade. Please add to the list. Here is what I have so far:
No Doubt - Its my life
Ramstein - Stripped
Frente - True Faith
Love Spit Love - How soon is now
Primus - making plans for nigel
Marylin Manson - Sweet Dreams
Face to Face - what difference does it make
Reel Big Fish: Take on Me & Come on Eilleen (not really new wave but the RBF version is cool).
I've also heard about a cure remake by 311 but haven't heard it on the radio yet.

There are tons of new wave covers out there. Just today at work I was stocking the new soundtrack to the movie "50 First Dates" and saw it was all new wave covers--done with an island feel. (Sadly,most were pretty lousy.) There was also that flick "
