Welcome to the new forum!
If you are a previously registered user, you must do the following:

1) Click on 'I forgot my password' at the login prompt
2) Enter your username and email you registered with and submit
3) You will receive an email with an activation link. Please click it and then log in using the random password provided
4) Go to your User Control Panel and click on the Profile tab
5) Click on 'Edit Account Settings' and enter your new password twice followed by the random password provided earlier. Click Submit.
6) That's it...you're back in! You may have to log in again with your new password.

The greatest time periods were the first British invasion in the 60's and the second British invasion in the late 70's/early 80's. (and yes , that does include Austrailia)
Hopefully there will be a tird British invasion soon.

Yeah, bands like The Darkness and Electric Six are a lot of fun, but harken back to 70's glam moreso than 80's new wave. I don't see a lot of staying power in these two bands however.

thats as maybe but surely all music runs in cycles?

I'm not that arsed about The Darkness( but I'd rather hear them than Whitney Houston on the radio), but they make a lot of people happy. Especially headbanging grannies at weddings.

[:)][:D]Thank you myIrwin for mentioning Missing Persons. I just got Animotions CD "Strange Behavior" last week on Ebay, and I gotta tell ya, it is mature sounding New Wave for a Los Angeles band.
The whole CD is excellent from start to finish.
