The Fashion

Who remembers the british band Fashion, with a very unusual debut(Product Perfect),in I.R.S,1979?Later left behind their reggae/ska based arty punk for a warmer-almost souly sound, and a small success with theirsecond''Tecnique'' alnum.

Fashion were a great band!

Quite a dramatic musical shift from the first album "Product Perfect" to the second "Fabrique". They did a third album, "Twilight of Idols" as well (similar musically to the second one). Interestingly, each album brought a new vocalist. My favourite was the second vocalist, Dave Harris. After Fashion dissolved Dave Harris formed a band, Zee , with the keyboard player from Pink Floyd. They made one album, "Identity". It had it's moments, but Fashion was much preferred.

Interesting sidenote- Fashion were the "backing band" on Stephen "Tin Tin" Duffy's hit, "Kiss me"

Cheers!
