Simple Minds promo lp

Postby enzfan » Mon Oct 23, 2006 5:09 am

Just picked up a Simple Minds promotional copy lp that came in a black cover with the center out of it(don't know if it is the original or not). It was issued in 87 and is live versions of "Promised You A Miracle" A side and "Alive And Kicking" and "Don't You Forget About Me" on the B side. Paid about $4 for it, was wondering if that was a fair price?

This sounds like a promo for the live album Live In the City of Light.
In my opinion this is a terrible album, a tremendous let down for me when I bought it nearly 20 years ago.
So, no matter what you paid for it, it wasn't worth it (to me at least)[:D]

I have a few of these black jacketed, white sleeve with white labels od Simple Minds from the New Gold Dream and Sparkle In The Rain LPs. They were released for Radio Airplay and DJ to spin in the clubs by A&M Records, after Sparkle In The Rain and the Dout You (Forget About Me) 12" I never bought another S.M. release... didn't like the sound or direction the band headed... it's probally worth $2.00. As long as you like it, is what counts.
