Karla DeVito vs. Ellen Foley

Postby DevoManiac101 » Fri Oct 27, 2006 8:33 am

What a hard choice, I pick Karla DeVito mainly because 'Is This A Cool World Or What?' is an amazing album and her version of "Heaven Can Wait" is really good along with her cover of "Midnight Confessions" but lets not forget the ever so boppy "Cool World" I love the music video! She is really fun to watch and I think she put more effort overall in the Bat Out Of Hell album even though Ellen Foley sang on the LP she performed the songs live and had the potential over her. Ellen Foley had the song "Boys In The Attic" which is very good but does not measure up to Karla's solo album. There is no one bad track on her album and was re-issued on the Renassiance label a few years back and contains an interview as a bonus track. I highly recommend her LP if you are a fan of early 80's pop & rock, Jim Stienman, Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, Fire Inc.

I like both - but I'm going to go with Ellen Foley simply because she had a more than one album. I love Night Out the most, although Spirit of St. Louis (with the Clash) was pretty good too.

I don't really like either one musically, but Ellen Foley was on Night Court so I choose her! :)

Ellen had much better pipes, imho. Listen to "Night Out" for proof of that. Plus she always seemed like a gal that would be cool to hang with.

Not even close. Karla DeVito. Ellen Foley's "Spirit of St. Louis" album was more musically interesting, but "Is This a Cool World or What?" was much more fun.
