A name too prefect to resist and certainly a lifelong audio treasure.
Any fans here?

Yes, I have "Compass / Kumpas" on vinyl (sits between Daft Punk and the Damned in my collection) and it's a good one. Nice minimalist early synth pop; I'd recommend it. I think they had at least one more release after that though I've never heard it.

Downloaded both albums off Usenet a couple of years ago and the second one (Dalek I Love You) is far better than the first, if anything that should of been the one that charted.

I have to disagree here. Compass Kumpas is a minimal synth-pop
masterpiece for me. Not that they've lost on quality on the second album. They just completly changed their music and provided much brighter sound. Dalek with a soul!

The first one and the Masks and Licences single were pretty excellent. I don't know, their second one was pretty slick and cheesy for my tastes. Maybe I missed somthing.

I dl'd a copy of Compass Kompass and it is pretty good. I'd like to find it on vinyl. For a reasonable price. I have not heard the second album at all.
