Yes, I know. But it won't prove "interesting" at all. At least by our opinion here on this forum:

www.joydiv.com

[:(][xx(]

Sorry, but news of a pathetic band like the Killers even being associated with JD made my intestines do flips months ago when I heard about this..........what hath God wrought........

No one, but no one, should ever cover Joy Division. It could turn out to be as emotionless as that awful cover of "It's My Life" by Gwen Stefani. I feel better having said it

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This last post says it all and sums it up, right down to the Gwen Stefani comment.......

New Order does a pretty good job on some of the covers. [:D]

I'll check it out. I don't mind checking out any cover...always interesting to see what kind of interpretation someone takes. If it sucks, I can ignore it. Radiohead for example did a pretty cool Decades cover that I'm pretty happy with.

There is at least one outstanding JD cover - Swan's "Love Will Tear Us Apart". Jarboe rules.[8D]

The "A Means To An End" tribute album was horrible with the exception of Girls Against Boys' "She's Lost Control", which was decent but nowhere near as good as their original material.

Ditto on The Means to an End tribute. I always thought Galaxie 500's take on Ceremony was interesting. But the Killers doing JD??? No thanks [xx(] I saw them last year and they were one of the dullest bands I ever saw.

Nothing special with this I think. I was disappointed on their Sophomore Album. I hope they don't make any mistake doing a JOY DIVISION's cover.
