how many out there thought gino vannelli's 1985 album, black cars had that new wave edge to it,especially in the title track, black cars???
to quote stephen erlewine from all music guide,,, "consequently, black cars is difinitively of the moment.it's hard to imagine a record that sounds more 1985 than this.
every cut on the record is built on synthesizers with yamaha's dx7 in the forefront.
there are hints of mild dance rhythms and little concessions to new wave that pop up now and again.
black cars is primarily interesting as an artifact for 80's fanatics."
black cars really does have its new wave moments on some cuts...
