What do you think? I just gave the album a quick listen and I'm liking most of it. Guess I'll how much it grows on me after a few more listens.

"Make It Mauve" reminds me a lot of "Fabulous" by Marsh's band Happyhead in the early 90's.

Dreamlife Of Dogs and Simpler Machines are really good..shades of Big Night Music with the pianos. Everything else is hit-and-miss, but I'm a little disappointed overall. Make It Mauve reminds me of that god-awful title track on Go Bang (the Shrieks' all-time low point). Flowers of Angst sounds like a clone of one of their older songs..but I can't place it..I can hear synths similar to Everything That Rises Must Converge. Hmm.

They really came back fairly strong in '05 with Cormorant, but these last two releases haven't been overly impressive. Still love this band.
