I agree. I like his style and I loved his songs in the early years. haven't listened much to XTC since their late 70s/early 80s stuff though.

Mayor of Simpleton - oh yes!!
Plus just about anything he played on Nonsuch was perfect too. And don't get me started on some of the Wasp Star bass lines...honestly the man is a 4 string legend
