What a monumental year. Can you imagine something like that today? Could quibble with choices but well done!

Don't know really how many people voted, but here is what people suggested as their favorite albums (comment section).

There's lots of misses, but it rightly shows what an astounding year it was. I might add...

The Bongos - Drums Along the Hudson
Comsat Angels - Fiction
The dB's - Repercussion
Dexy's - Too-Rye-Ay
Fay Ray - Contact You
Front 242 - Geography
Humans - Happy Hour
Jonny Sevin - s/t
Lords of the New Church - s/t
Lou Miami & the Kozmetix - s/t
Modern English - After the Snow
Music for Pleasure - Into the Rain
The Names - Swimming
The Passions - Sanctuary
Positive Noise - Change of Heart
Psychic TV - Force the Hand of Change
Section 25 - The Key of Dreams
Slow Children - s/t
Sonic Youth - s/t
The Sound - All Fall Down
The Teardrop Explodes - Everybody Want to Shag...
Translator - Heartbeats and Triggers
Waitresses - Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful?
Wall of Voodoo - Call of the West
X - Under the Big Black Sun
Y Pants - Beat It Down

Jeez, did I say astounding?! What a ridiculous explosion of creativity.

Thanks for this great addition. Some of these albums could really have made bigger impact on the list.
Will let you know when I make the 1982 singles list. Soon!

This could be the biggest understatement in the history of the NWO.

Rio is my #1 of 1982. Nothing else even comes close. How the hell any of The Cure's albums is #1 for any year is a mystery to me.

Best Canadian album, in my opinion, is either
Strange Advance - World's Away, or
Spoons - Arias and Symphonies ...
which leads to the best Canadian single of 1982 = Spoons' Nova Heart.

There's a typo in #9. One too many Ts in Ultravox.

I already said that 'Pornography' was overrated. It got 103 votes while 'A Broken Frame' only got 42 in the second place.
Thanks for pointing out the Ultravox typo.

The Jam: The Gift
Midnight Oil: 10-1
Blancmange: Happy Families
Gang Of Four: Songs Of The Free
INXS: Shabooh Shabooh
