Okay....it's 20 years ago. A Saturday night, October 1986. Where would you be right now?

Marie3....in going through some old pictures, I found a picture of the artist guy in the background of a picture I took at Thrush around 1986 or so. How weird is that?

How funny!
I would love to see some of those pictures. I get a kick out of seeing the old hairstyles and club clothes.

I remember one Halloween at SPIT some dudes pulled up in the Ghostbusters-mobile and had the full movie props too. As I recall, they lost the costume contest to Playboy-esque looking girl walking a nerd around on a leash. There were about 20 Adam Ants that night!

Raserx....As inventive and elaborate as the Ghostbusters team was, the hot chick in a playboy outfit is always going to get my vote too!!!

Everyone had a black mc jacket and combat boots but me. I had long hair and had a trench coat. Very lost boys.

I know Im a day or two late here but...
Ha, I knew Ford as well. He used to car pool on occasion with my friends Mary and Laura. As for the Twins, Do You mean Rick and Mike?

Spit, Malibu, Reds, Bebop, & The Meadowbrook & Aldo's Hideaway in NJ.
I also remember a Malibu Halloween Party w/ someone dressed as "Tawana Brawley" ..
Quick Malibu Memory: - There was a time they had a "no sneakers" policy, & bouncers at the door turning away those w/sneakers .... I had on sneakers, & my friends were wearing shoes with black socks. In the parking lot I said to one of my friends, "Give me your socks", & I proceeded to put his black socks right "over" my sneakers!
From a slight distance at night, they actually looked like the coolest shoes on the line! Everyone was amazed at how "good" it looked! Got in no problem, .. & took off the socks once inside ....

Hi newwavepop. Most of us on this thread are (or were from) Long Island, NY. The club scene here was great in the 80's. Looks like you guys would have fit in fine with us back in the day

During the 80's, not only did NYC have great clubs, but Long Island did too

And Northern New Jersey .. The whole "WLIR" area was alive with a great club scene in the 80's!... My friends & I could be found anywhere from NJ to Long Island or Manhattan, depending on what "night of the week" it was!
