Strictly 80s, it's

1. Slow Children - self titled
2. Church - Of Skins and Hearts
3. Bluebells - Sisters (especially side 1)
4. Let's Active - Afoot (but that's kinda cheating since it's an EP)

Kim Wilde - Self Titled best new wave album by far in my opinion

It's a toss up between ABC's "Lexicon of Love" and Fashion's "Fabrique".

Runners up include:

Animal Nightlife - "Shangri-La"
Kajagoogoo - "Islands"
Endgames - "Building Beauty"
Duran Duran - "Duran Duran" (1st Album)

It's slammed by a lot of Kraftwerk purists, but Kraftwerk's "Electric Cafe" is a great album through and through, IMHO. But they're not new wave, are they? Even Ralf Hutter and Florian Shnieder say they're not. Nevermind.

As far a new wave albums go, "Wasn't Tommorrow Wonderful" by the Waitresses is a great listen, and any of Gary Numan's albums from "Replica's" to "Dance" are great listens. Is Numan "new wave" or "Electro-pop"?

This is what I posted in last year's poll (I got the gold star for having the list that was most similar to the board's overall picks--yes, I'm pedestrian).

1. The Clash, London Calling
2. The Pretenders, The Pretenders
3. Japan, Gentlemen Take Polaroids
4. Aztec Camera, High Land, Hard Rain
5. Yaz, Upstairs at Eric's
6. Big Country, The Crossing
7. INXS, Shabooh Shabah
8. ABC, The Lexicon of Love
9. The English Beat, Special Beat Service
10. Blondie, Parallel Lines

Yet in 20-plus years of listening to this stuff, funny how my favorites have moved around just in a few months.

Where in the heck is "Ocean Rain" (yeah, it was in my top 20)? I'd better drop off Pretenders and swap it out for Ian. Same thing for INXS.

And why wasn't "Reach the Beach" in my list at all? [:I]

Haven't got one as that more or less changes on a daily basis! [:D]

But I really love Pinkees - Pinkees. A fantastic album! [8D]

My all time favorite, although a hard choice from so many.
