<br>The Jam are one of my favorites. They weren't a real "fun" band so maybe that's why alot of people over-look them??

I went with Setting Sons, and 'All Mod Cons' would be a close 2nd. Why Sons? Of course Eton Rifles, but also Saturday's Kids and Strange Town. These are great songs!!!

Then I heard "Ghosts" and fell in love with Weller all over again.

OK, I go for Setting Sons as well, mostly due to Toy Soldiers (insert: Little Boy Soilders, dud!) song as well as Strange Town, one of my fave Jam tunes!

With "Ghosts," I get goose-bumps to this day when I listen to it, one of my faves from that LP! [8D]

I used to wait for the domestic releases of their LPs; however, the imports were always there way ahead of the US release date, too bad the record company were asleep at the wheel... [:(]

It's a Mod, Mod, Mod, Mod, World!

I voted for "The Gift" because it my first Jam album and has their two greatest tunes: A Town Called Malice & Happy Together. The only real filler on the album is the song with the awful steel drums on it...ugh.

I voted for "Sound Affects", my favorite Jam album. To me, The Jam just got better and better with each effort up to and including this album (there is not one song on it that I ever wanted to skip over). Then "The Gift" followed, and you could hear Paul Weller changing the sound and style a bit.

In The City for me.Its the only Jam lp I bought the same month it came out and I remember picking it up at my lunch break and putting it on soon as I got home.I still have this lp but bought another reissue lp a few years back due to my original copy being massively overplayed.
