Hi Dropdeadgothic, I'm kinda busy right now but would love to share memories. I've posted a few times on the Monastery too.

I don't think I knew anyone from Tukwila but I was intrigued by your mention of Tonight's the Night. Most of the folks here who went to Skoochies were a bit younger than I was so we didn't have much overlap, but I spent a lot of time the summer of 1983 at TTN on the New Wave nights (Fri., Wed., Sun.). Great memories. Must work on that book . . . after I clean out the garage.

When I have time in a bit I will e-mail you through your profile. In the meanwhile, either of these chicks look famiiliar? It's June 1984 and I'm on the right.

1) I don't think I beacame aware of 'newwave' til years after the fact, I mena my older broother introduced me to alot of music but I wasn't aware of the phrase I think we just called it pop here or new romantic or whatever it was!

2)I remmeber goign to this disco each week with my schoolmates which was for our age-group they palyed new order 'Blue Monday' alot and all that good stuff.

3)Oh I've had many moments like that right from the 80s up to now. Last time probably was when I got into DEVO this year! LOL[8)]

at that time i was into hair metal bands, then my cousin brought w/ him collection of tapes w/c was a collection of new wave music.w/c instantly floored eddie van halens 1984 in comparison to wiretrains
chambers of hello . i listen to radio station that features AT40
then my whole music life change when i heard ian mcnabb's "whisper to a scream" w/ those thundering drums and soulful voice and i said to myself "definitely these will be my music"...until today i still crave and search for lost gems, lost bands that deserves to have an audience. new wave music shaped my whole life, i think all of the musicians at that time are all poets, they sing w/ they're heart out
unlike today, music is too commercialized. that's all i can say for now...."you have to speak up for what you believe in" in the name of
NEW WAVE music....that's me bro'

Hexicon, you know it's pictures like that, that really make me miss those times...Those two chicks both look very familiar, but the one on the right, Y-O-U!, looks most familiar. You may have known my friend Skye Jacobson from TTN. He spent a lot more time there than I did. I spent more time in the city. They called me "Agent" back in my Skoochies days, a moniker I was given from my brief sojourn in the L.A. club scene. Not sure why, maybe the black overcoat...I hung out with a couple guys, Blammar and Stryker. I'd love to chat about old times, any time.
