The U.S. single (EMI/Manhattan B50018) does say "Recorded in Italy" on it. Copyright "Italiana S.p.A." That should have been a good clue who was pulling the strings.

As for the name, I have no idea. For all we know, it could have been two of Bassi's relatives' and/or friends' surnames stuck together.

I read where the name Baltimora was just a pseudonym Jimmy McShane would use.

Is it true that most italo disco artists didn't sing their own songs?

Jimmy McShane was just some dorky guy dancing in the video. He is NOT the singer, as far as I know at least

The singer was Italian guy....same guy who wrote and produced songs for Baltimora. His name was Maurizio Bassi....maybe he's the one who died, I don't know?

I love song "Chinese Restaurant" by this act....very romantic 80's synth tune. Check it out if you get a chance..... it's very new wave sounding. But of course "Tarzan boy" is an all time classic of italo disco [:)]

I love Italo music so much...great topic! [8D]
