<p align="justify">This is a tough one. The 90s was a kind of backlash to the 80s. I can already see it back in '95 someone talking about how much they love A Flock Of Seagulls only to get distorted stares of complete and utter dismay. I think it was when the late 90s hit with crap like Shitney Spears and Jesucka Simpson that peeps began to look back to better days. Anyway, here are some songs which could've been a part of the New Wave era.

I'm using the 1991-2000 timeline as the decade that represents the 90s. This is the good schtuff[8D]

"Sexy Boy" by Air
"Kathy's Song (Come Lie Next To Me)" by Apoptygma Berzerk (from 2000)
"Around The World" by Daft Punk
"Try To Forget" by De/Vision
"Casual Sex" by The Faint
"Life In Mono" by Mono
"Dream Baby" by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult (maybe)
"6 Underground" by The Sneaker Pimps
"Further" by VNV Nation
"Sparrows And Nightingales" by Wolfsheim

Verve - Bittersweet Symohony
New Radicals - Get What You Give
Enigma - Return To Innocence
Deep Forest - Sweet Lullaby
Erasure - Always
Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds
Shakespear's Sister - Stay
Tasmin Archer - Sleeping Satellite
Blur - Boys And Girls

God that was hard. As we move further away from the 90's I'm starting to realize that so much music of that era sound so much alike.

Hmmm...I remember a thread very much like this from way back in the past.

Nice to know that some folks here had a pulse during that last decade. [}:)]

Let's just say that everyone should at least own "Drive That Fast" by Kitchens Of Distinction. Came out in 1991. And there's tons more where that came from......if you bother to look for it.

I don't have time to post 10, but Jennifer Paige's "Crush" sounded like Top 40 from 1988.
