Too many Dead or Alives on the list lol
And Woodpeckers I don't like at all.
Laura Branigan.... not even her song.... change to Umberto Tozzi, great Italian talent.

But no Den Harrow, Albert One, Bad Boys Blue.... come on [:D]
And how about Murray Head - One Night in Bangkok, huge hit!
In Europe Modern Talking - You're my Heart You're my soul was also huge.

Also I don't think Italo disco artists were one-hit wonders as author said, in fact their melodies tended to be a lot catchier than anything else. Lack of promotion from US/UK dominated MTV was the reason for lack of popularity.

Now how about Alphaville - Big in Japan... great song, and VH1 classic still plays it, which is a big accomplishment for any Italo act, especially from Germany.

Also Sandra dominated the charts in Europe with many hits, also a very worthy artist.... though not really Italo but Eurodisco

[InvisibleMan]

Also,
Gotta have some Bobby O..... and Paul Parker (Shot in the Night),all Nrg classics

Some other very worthy ones from Magical world of Italo(all available on youtube to listen and watch):

London Boys - Requiem

Gazebo - I like Chopin

Real Life- Send me an angel

Savage - Don't Cry Tonight... no sense to lyrics, but great Italo from Italy

Al Bano & Romina Power - Felicita .... great song from this amazing duo, classic!

Fancy - Bolero

Joy - Hello

Laban - Love in Siberia

Mike Mareen - Love Spy

Kon Kan - I Beg your pardon... great Canadian italo

I am sure people will love voting these off lol [:D]

Fancy - Bolero

If I was to include any Fancy song, it would be "Slice Me Nice". This was real big in the Seattle club scene. I also surprised that not a single song by Lime was included, or any Divine or anything by Bobby O. In fact, I would automatically pick "Passion" by the Flirts as the #1 song in this genre.

I've been gone over a day and it seems like we're still receiving nominations. Well, we'll let this ride as is, for now. And sometime in the future, we'll bring up a Round Two (say after the first of next year)? And I'll list songs--as longs as artists AND song titles are both included. Granted, a number of these tunes are NOT included on compilations and some of these not played on KROQ--but so what? I'd like to do this again (I'll list 50 of these) and we'll do it again, then. Consider this winner just a question mark as to whether it will stand, the next round.

In the meantime, when this ends, we'll focus on another aroma of the so-called "cheese"--(likely an individual artist or group again).
