Yeah, "Walk Away" and "Dancing Until Midnight" from Pseudo Echo are amazing. Also love "Another Word" and "Hate" from Talk Talk. Both albums don't have a bad song. The Fixx's "I Live" is amazing. The Psychedlic Furs "Run and Run" and "Goodbye" are great.

On top of all that, I'd add pretty much every song by Images n Vogue, Classix Nouveaux, The Twins, The Mood, Expression, Strange Advance, John Foxx solo, and a good number of songs by Rational Youth and Our Daughter's Wedding. It really amazes me how much classic sounding synthpop and new wave never even made the airwaves of new wave radio in the early 80s. I always felt by the mid-80s that WLIR and then DRE just continuously recycled the same one or two songs by all of the biggest names and failed to live up to their promise of always bringing something new and original to their playlists.

yeah, I always took The Twins for europop--but then I sampled all their albums and songs other than Ballet Dancer and was amazed to find there was some serious early new wave there on par with Gary Numan from the same period.

The Twins are a good synth-grounded band. Sound a little samey at times, but should have had at least one hit.
Not strictly 80s, but have been listening to early 90s band 'Seven Red Seven'. Another excellent Mode ripoff. There are so many.

Also, 'Again And Again' by Roaring Boys. Fantastic intro.

Naked Eyes had a lot of good album tracks... for example Fortune And Fame, I Could Show You How, Could Be, The Time is Now very good pop/wave tunes [:D]

Man, where do I begin?

The Fixx - "Outside" - the guitar at the end just kills me
Simple Minds - they're my favorite band, so I love just about everything by them, but "Book Of Brilliant Things" and "Come Along Way" are both standouts (the drums that lead out the song on the latter)
Kaja - DON'T LAUGH! I know they are hated here, but screw it, I love 'em for whatever reason. Their third album, where they dropped the "googoo" (insert Beavis and Butt-head snicker here) has a great song called "Jigsaw" that pretty much ruled late 1985 for me.
Real Life - "Like A Gun" (the b-side of "Send Me An Angel") - KILLER track; should have been on the album, will never, ever, ever make it to CD.
A Flock Of Seagulls - "Lost Control" - b-side of "The More You Live..." - his singing goes off-key at the end, so that's probably why it was relegated to b-side status, but I was ecstatic when this cut finally made a CD compilation a few years back.
The Motels - "Mission Of Mercy" - I think the song was worked at AOR radio, but I don't believe an actual commercial single was ever released
