I also have to admit that several years ago I found that holy grail Colour Field "Virgins and Philistines" CD for $8. I had never heard it, and only purchased it out of curiostity, since I enjoyed some of the Fun Boy Three stuff. I HATED it! I played it several times and could not get into it. I didn't see it as New Wave at all, just a bit off the mark mainstream pop. I sold the CD back to a local record store, and maybe got $1 for it.

Ahahah! That's a good one, the next day the guy sold it $100! Would U have some more CD's of that kind, I could easily clear the whole stock in exchange of a few $![:D]

Kon Kan: "Move to Move"

This is rare? I've seen it in used CD shops several times. Picked mine up the past couple of years for $3.99. Hmm, better keep an eye out on EBay in case this sells for big money [:)].

Duran Duran - Essential Night Versions

*rare to begin with, it's now out-of-print. Fun trivia: came with an extra "bonus" CD of "New Moon on Monday", which you could DL off their website---but only if you had Windows 3.1 or 95. Which I didn't. But maybe djsoss does!

I picked mine up used. How does the bonus disc fit into the case? I never bothered trying out the disc on a computer.

Don't know how rare it is but I have a Depeche Mode CD5 of "Everything Counts (+ live tracks)", French pressing in slipcase that is numbered. There's some kind of pressing/mastering error and one track skips though.

I just picked up Galore from a dealer in France for about $31. Thanks for the tip! I also have the Lazy compilation (bought it when it was released). And I have the Blancmange and Kirsty cds. And a very big credit card bill[:D]

I got my copy of Galore from France too. What a strange coincidence. I also have the Lazy 88 comp. I forgot I had it until now. I have a hue Primitives obsession for some reason. There's also a Japanese version of Galore w/4 extra tracks.

Regarding Blancmange's Happy Families - The version of Waves found on the CD is different than what appears on the original vinyl.

Billetdoux is the company I bought it from. Do you recall what was yours?
And what are the 4 extra tracks on the Japanese release?

The 4 extra tracks are:
Sunpulse
In My Dream
Under My Spell
Haunted

I don't know exactly what shop the CD came from. To exemplify - my English friend went to France for a holiday & she found it for me & sent it. Galore makes pretty regular appearances on Ebay these days. $31 is a bargain. I've seen it go for over $100 in the past. Not since 2001 though.

PS: crashsite.org = Primitives website. It's pretty thorough but it really needs updating.

I bought my copy of The Primitives in Germany. I guess I got lucky because I noticed it is a little hard to find these days. [^]

I don't have very many rare CD's, but a couple that were hard to find (for me anyway):

One - Upstream (Steve Hovington' group post B-Movie)
Malcolm Burn - Redemption (Lead singer of Boys Brigade)
V/A - A Canadian Alternative

I also have a few copies of Hardest Hits Vol. 1, but when I got them they were readily available locally.

The only really rare CDs that I have are-

Re-Flex - The Politics of Dancing
Re-Flex - Humanication
Vangelis - Blade Runner (Esper Edition).

I have one of the older sets when there were only 35 copies out there. But now some idiots CD-R copied all of them.

Angela Morely - Watership Down.
This one is really rare and worth a whole lot of money

Stephanie Piasq - Megarace.....This is 8 tracks of golden new waveness

Hubert Kah - The Sound of my Heart

I mentioned Kon Kan because you may be able to find it in used CD stores, but it is out of print now. Mine includes the extended dance versions of a couple of their songs. I'm not sure if the demand is there for it to go for big money on E-Bay, but it is out of print.
