Oh, I apologize, YOUR HIGHNESS![xx(] I didn't know you're the only one allowed to do that to "hapless NWO'rs" (as 2Nu pointed out).

Hey douche nozzle, what's with your odd little obsession with bath houses, purses, and calling guys women's names? It's a little disturbing. Either you yourself are gay and hate yourself because of it or you are so homophobic that you believe these kinds of things to be an insult. If it's the former, I should pity you and leave you alone but if it's the latter, then you are a grade A asshole and I'll have to keep on embarassing you. There are more than a few gay people on this board and I'm sure they don't appreciate your using narrow-minded bullshit stereotypes about homosexuals as insults. What are you, 12 years old or something? I would just ignore you, but frankly it's too much fun to mess with you, even though you are extremely overmatched. Besides, ignoring you wouldn't work since you've got this weird obsession with me. It's Ok A-Hole, I understand. I'm everything anyone could ever want. But you gotta let it go. I'm not gay and I'm not attracted to you. Sorry. Have a great day though. We can always be just friends. [:D]

I don't think that even if they called themselves "Gigantic, Jiggling, Naked Jugs" would they have been famous in the States...

I'd buy that! No. Wait. I think I already have something with that title in one of my videos[:p]

I voted for U2, but I don't dig their music. The early albums are good, but are completely overshadowed by all the music they made that I don't like.

I used to like U2, New Year's Day was a good song but then their music didn't age well and they stopped making good songs when they joined the mainstream. Furthermore all the antics of Bono didn't help. Nowadays,it is quite indifferent to me if the band would disband or go on. Regarding R.E.M., I never liked the band very much, some of their songs were relatively good but I found them too commercial for my taste. So in conclusion, I don't give a damn![:D]

I actually am going to disagree and say that I thought their music in the Achtung Baby/Zooropa era was actually *better* than what they did before, at least musically. Though I love the rawness of Boy and October, which also have some of my favorite music from the '80s ("I Fall Down", "An Cat Dubh").

Well REM or R.E.M or whatever you call them, has already lost one of their founding members. And their music has become less and less interesting lately.

I like some of their pseudo-psychedelic early stuff. Jingle jangle guitars, Stipes' stream of counscious, unitelligible mumbling. I still have my 45 of "Radio Free Europe".

We'll see what they do next but the wheels may have already fallen off.

Like or hate U2, name another band that has aged so well over 25 years.

I like U2, but here are two that have held up better:

The Fall - started in 1976.
Sonic Youth - started in 1981.

If this was directed to me, then re-read my post [:o)]

Actually, I thought Unforgettable Fire was their weakest album before their three most recent ones, which I find to be seriously inferior to anything they did before.

Sonic Youth started that long ago? Damn. Solid band, too. Definitely one of the few brightspots in the 90s.

I think U2 has already lasted longer. I don't know anyone outside of a handful of hopeful fans who bothered to purchase R.E.M.'s last few records (Up,Reveal,Around The Sun). U2 continue to gain new and younger (key word there...YOUNGER..we'll all be dead soon) fans.

I mean...I bought those last three R.E.M. albums but I'm only me.
