New Wave Outpost Party

[KYYX4ever]

I leave for the airport for Vegas in an hour!

Margaritaville on Sat. sounds perfect.[:)] I'll call you guys for time and details earlier on Sat. (not toooo early), but it's kind of looking like 4 pm-ish or so ? I'm really looking forward to it! Thanks BMG for your recon, too.[:X]
btw, it's just me. I'm leaving my rowdy friends behind somewhere.

Someone have a few drinks for me. [:D]
Holy crap, Marie! A FEW?? What do you take us for--total lushes?

Ok, I suppose I'll be the one to have some drinks for you. I'm thinking that I'll be sucking those down at Margaritaville--where the noise does not dominate the conversation.
[:D]Margaritaville sounds like the place to have a few...

Me too! I'm very jealous! Some of my favorite outposters all in one location...where there are slot machines!!!!!!!
And where prostitution is legal! [:D]

So check this out! I get a call from Blir last night with an update on what's going on out there and it turns out that radio station 91X (? I'm from NY [:I]) is doing their top 100 Band Countdown - 2 songs per band - and he's hearing the most amazing stuff from the old days! PERFECT for getting in the right state of mind to hang out with some New Wave Outposters [^] Hey guys, have a blast! [8D] You know I'd be there if I could but I already have my buddy's bachelor party in Pittsburgh next weekend. No way would wifey set me loose two weekends in a row [:(]

But 2NU, isn't it the saying, "whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." [:p]

I'm sure there will be pics...scary...I think BMG, MAS, and KYYX all had cams. Great folks all. BMG is the absolute sweetheart she appears to be whenever she posts here. KYYX4ever is as gregarious and comfortable as can be. MAS...okay MAS...sure he's cool and funny as hell but 6'5" and damned good looking too? Bastard! [:D]

Thanks for the good time folks. I'm off to catch my 6:45am flight outta here...running on fumes...

[KYYX4ever]

Hey everybody!
This was an AWESOME meetup and I had a swell time. Really put a big smile on my face. We had such great conversation....politics, Gov. Schwarzenegger, careers, everything under the sun. Then, Blir showed up 2 hrs. late and that's when we finally started talking about music! You all are such a superbly funny, sweet, and just-plain-COOL group of folks--not to mention good looking. [:p]Ha ha--and that's BEFORE we began drinking margaritas and shots of anejo.
For real, though--this was a wonderful meetup with a fantastic group of NWOers which just confirmed that we are all on the same new wavelength.[8D]
Blir, KYYX, and birdmadgirl:

I eagerly await MAS or birdmadgirl to post a photo which includes MAS as well !

[birdmadgirl]

I had a great time, too! KYYX is an absolute doll--definitely someone I'd want to hang out with IRL. Blir is a really nice guy and so passionate about music. MAS is very funny and sweet, and, yep, I gotta say it, too, damned good looking! [:D]

<br>Egg! That would be so great for you to show.

Looks like you guys had a blast! I wish I coulda been there instead of slopping around in a Wasatch mountain blizzard.

[MARV]

Wow, looks like you all had a really, really great time! Everybody looks so relaxed and happy! That's awesome. And I love Vegas too - good for you!

Is that Corey Hart on the left? [;)][8D] Blir, you're like the NWO ambassador, LOL, traveling to far-flung locales to meet everybody. You've got the best job!

Looks like you all had a fabulous time! I'm SO envious! Birdmadgirl, it's so nice to finally see a picture--you're freakin' adorable! KYYX, you're quite the traveler lately--San Francisco and now Vegas. What a great way for you to start your summer vacation. We need to see a good picture with MAS! (Preferably wearing a lampshade!) And we need the REAL lowdown on the high-rollin' highjinx you guys got into after copious quantities of alcohol, involving perhaps, a costumed showgirl, an Elvis impersonator, and a 24 hour drive-thru wedding chapel. All your secrets can't stay in Vegas! [;)][:D]

Here's a repost of BMG's pic...thanks BirdMad. I think this was right before we all donned our backless chaps to stroll the Strip. Hmm...or was this before Naked Karaoke and MAS' Sex Dwarf rendition? Ah, it's all such a blur.
