New Wave Outpost Forum

This may have been covered before but...

When my brother and I were kids we used to spin to death K-Tel's classic "Goofy Greats" record. My bro's 40th b-day is coming up and he's pretty bummed out about it. I thought I'd make him a CD of some wackier new wave numbers to cheer him up.

Any suggestions for songs I could include? Some of the obvious ones that come to mind are:

Killer Pussy - Teenage Enema Nurse in Bondage
Total Coelo - I Eat Cannibals
The B-52's - Rock Lobster
Frank Zappa - Valley Girl

Always fun to revisit! Doing a quick scan...

Angel & the Reruns - Buffy Come Back
Black Flag - TV Party
Bollock Brother - Horror Movies
Caution - UFO
D-Day - Too Young to Date
The Dickies - Gigantor
Gleaming Spires - Are You Ready for the Sex Girls
Inflatable Boy Clams - I'm Sorry
Jon & Vangelis - Friends of Mr. Cairo
Julie Brown - Homecoming Queen
Little Girls - The Earthquake Song
Ogden Edsl - Kinko the Clown
Suburban Lawns - Gidget Goes to Hell
Surf Punks - Shark Attack
Unit 3 with Venus - Pajama Party

Dead Milkmen have two entries:

Bitchin' Camero
Instant Club Hit

Here's a little weird Alaskan New Wave - Anenemic Boyfriends "Guys Are Not Proud."

Good call on the Revillos. They did lots of silly songs, like She's Fallen in Love with a Monster Man, Do the Mutilation, and Scuba Scuba.

Other silly songs:
Fabulous Poodles - Anna Rexia, Think Pink, and lots of others
Robyn Hitchcock - My Wife and My Dead Wife, Insect Mother, The Man with the Lightbulb Head, and lots of others
