Can anyone recommend any legal online music download services that they have used to locate and download new wave songs (and other types of music)? I don't mind paying for the service as long as I can get my hands on some cool stuff that may be hard to locate in stores or out of print.

mp3.com must have the biggest archieve of tracks from up and coming bands as well as some from fairly famous ones. Red Flag must have 6 or 7 free tracks for you to download and they are quite famous. It also has a section that states how many and who so

I found some good music on mp3.com too.
One song I love is called "Waterpots" by the band Sacred Raisin Cakes - the song is great.

There are some other good bands on there too, but that was one of the first songs I came across that I really love

Cool, thanks for the info 'Agamis' ... I'll definitely check this one out. I've avoided all the peer-to-peer programs for the most part, due to the typically crappy quality MP3's, file corruption, etc. and most of the legal outlets have non-standard prop

Interesting Mike. I've managed to find nearly every album except the groups that begin wiuth numbers in the 1 - d part of the mfv list on soulseek. I would say nearly all of it is either 192 or the vbr equivalent.
