Mr. Mister started out in early 80's with something close to a new wave sound ("Hunters of the Night" is a great song from their first album), but they quickly became standard 80's pop like many other bands as new wave became over-commercialized and began

I have to chuckle hedgeberry, as I was growing up in the 80's many of my friends were into Led Zep, and Floyd. They thought my music taste was weird even back then. I now live in a rural area far from decent radio (except CFRC Queens university) and most

I never really thought about it, but the term "synthesizer" (US)/ "synthesiser" (rest o' the world) is probably an outdated term for electronic keyboards! I guess you could say that synthesizers were electronic instruments (usually keyboards) from the 70'

You hear LOADS of keybaords in the 80s. This is why Im stuck in the decade. I love the synthesizer. Electronic keyboards rock my world. I work for keyboards, not for college money (Ill worry about that later).

Your 16, well I am 17 and I've listening to New wave since I was born. Literally my family is new wave. I think that you should naturally inquire yourself in a form of music u enjoy. Either in rebelion or one of hedonism you'll find the balace soon enough
