Hopefully more of the oracles out there can comment on the following bands from the Trouser Press Record Guides I found:
Jack Rubies
Jet Black Berries
Linton Kwesi Johnson
Jon and the Nightriders
Thanks again to all for your opinions

Jet Black Berries and The Jack Rubyes I remember playing on my radio show 20 years ago. Both are very good bands. I still have vinyl from both of them I think.
LKJ is pretty legendary in dub circles.
The last band I don't know.

It's funny, "Reggae fi Peach" came up on the iPod today and I found myself wondering what happened to LKJ myself, as he was one of the few reggae guys I could really get into (no dumb Rasta mystic bullshit, no slack). I just found this bio. He's still going, just at a low level.
