New Wave Outpost Forum

Marvy Marv is all about the kick back. When I'm not feeling a beat, I'm sipping a martini and listening to a good slow jam. I'm talking about something like:

Big Audio Dynamite / Got To Set Her Free
New Order / Every Little Counts
The Smiths / Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
Morrissey w/Siousxie / Interlude
Depeche Mode / Freelove
Saint Etienne / Madeline
Sinead O'Connor / Don't Cry For Me Argentina (yeah, THAT one)
Erasure / I Bet You're Mad At Me (acoustic)
Pet Shop Boys / London (Genuine piano mix)

I even take it to Al Martino or Johnny Mathis. Astrud Gilberto [^]

You?

Over at XB-102 we have two New Wave "chill" shows -- "Lovesick," hosted by Cool Carla, and "Quiet Storm," hosted by Mick Flame. They play haunting relaxing classics such as the acoustic version of the Lotus Eaters' "It Hurts," Fra Lippo Lippi's "Beauty and Madness," and the Chameleons' unplugged take on "Tears."
