Thanks - it's great to see some of these videos I've never seen, then again I complained a few months ago about seeing a video that I didn't like, so who knows.
I love the song, and think it's funny that in my mp3 player that I listen to when I run, I have OMD - "Souvenir" and then Ministry - "Revenge" play right after -- I like the combination, it's a nice 1-2 punch.

I love that old Ministry! I could play Everyday (Is Halloween) All Day, but then again, you've got to Work For Love

Thanks for the link, Cody. I probably haven't seen the video for 20 years.
I really liked the video back in the day, and I bought the With Sympathy LP as a result. I played side 1 a ton. Years later, I heard that Al Jourgensen had disowned this album, calling it an "abortion". STFU, I said to myself. The writing credits for all the songs are attributed to you, not Mike Chapman and Holly Knight or some other label hacks.
But after playing the video about 5 times in a row, maybe I see his point. Somebody obviously put a gun to his head and made him sing with a fake British accent.

I've heard on a few Ministry boards that Al was into this music then. But I love the video, and I love With Sympathy. I wish more videos like this would surface. Like a Say You're Sorry, and a Work For Love video.

"Revenge" was the only video they released while at Arista. "I Wanted to Tell Her" was the chart hit (for inexplicable reasons), and they didn't even cut a video for that.

Thanks so much for the link!!! I never saw this video and it's great to see the first incarnation of the band that I'll always love!!! I remember a Philadelphia station called I-92 that played so much Ministry. The hits were: "Work For Love", "Revenge", "Effigy (I'm Not An)" and "I Wanted To Tell Her". The album really is awesome. I loved Al singing with the British accent. Hey, even "Everyday is Halloween" kind of continued with that dialect, and the infamous "Nature of Love" had that UK sneer. I really can't imagine Al really hating this time in his life. It made him a ton of money and bankrolled his "further" incarnations of Ministry. "Twitch" was my really last interest in Ministry, but he did have some cool songs afterwards, like "You Know What You Are" and "Land of Rape and Honey" and, I'm sorry, you could still hear the English accent behind all that distortion.
A dream come true for me would be for Al to remake his classics the way he would like them to be. It would be a kick in the arse!!! Or at least do songs in the style of his "Twitch" era.
I heard once that he was working on a video to "The Angel". This was going to be the follow up to "Over the Shoulder". Any truth to this? Anybody?

Back in the day, I used to think the "ain't got time for what you feel" line was "anchor time for what's a fuella". [:p]
My friend's sister was on a plane next to Jourgensen after that album came out and was surprised he was an American. lol

Didn't the vocals in Cold Life (1981 Wax Trax!) have an accent in them too?

Not as funny, but I thought it was "I caught on to..." Come to think of it, I still do. That, and "Far below old Father Time."
Of course, the Fabio joke has been done to death.

I haven't heard the Fabbio joke, so please tell me. [:D]
The lyrics that puzzle me nowadays are the "ho, ho"s. Those are just pirate/Santa sounds, right? I'm thinking whores didn't get slangified to hos until later??? [?] The song gets cranked up to an 11 if Al's dissing the woman, rather than just making sounds that rhyme with no.

Jourgensen is a smack-addicted tool. He's the one that sold out; no one forced him to do it.
