Five examples came readily to mind. Can you name any more?

Rapture
Blondie
I think this is the one that would come first to mind for most. What a great song.

New Religion
Duran Duran
This is one of Duran Duran's greats. Perhaps it doesn't get the same airplay as the others because of it's length - perhaps because of its genre crossover nature. Say what you want about the Duran Duran cover album Thank You, but their tribute to Grandmaster Flash's influence with White Lines is awesome in concert.

World Destruction
Time Zone
John Lydon and Afrika Bambaataa were a devestating pair on the cut World Destruction. The lyrics are more relevant today than ever. It's hard-hitting and danceable at the same time. What an unforgettable mix.

Wordy Rappinghood
Tom Tom Club
Wow. This one's a mouthful and plenty of fun as the Tom Tom Club always is. Genius Of Love off the same album may get sampled more often in Hip Hop tunes, but the rap influence on this cut is far more direct.

Christmas Wrapping
The Waitresses
Every December this little gift comes around. It makes me want to go out to the store and grab some cranberry sauce.

Adam Ant-Cajun Twister(from his ''Friend or Foe'' period,an amazing song of catchy pop-rap with horns)

Kevin Coyne-Tell us the truth(In Cherry Red and from the album''Politicz'',this very important folk veteran combines rap-protest singing with noises from a music box.Perhaps he didn't really know what he did,but everything after that wasn't the same.It was the 80s,you know...)

I can also recall Attila the Stockbrocker for some proto-rapping in his first three albums similar to Patrick Fitzerald and John Cooper Clarke.

The Vel's Look My Way had a cute white girl rap in it.

Holiday by the Other Ones also had something close to a rap...[;)]

The Pet Shop Boys have always touted "West End Girls" as being the first rap song to reach #1 in the U.S.

They can tout it all they want.

Rapture is technically first.

All I can think about is "When are we leaving?",
Everytime I think of you I want a cigarette,
Man chooses himself, hero with a thousand faces,
It's the third night and the walls are shaking"--Tuxedomoon, "Desire"</font>

"Ant Rap" by Adam and the Ants.

"Under the Gun" by Face to Face. Of course it was just a thin rewrite of Blondie's "Rapture" and Epic Records hammered the nails into their coffin by releasing it and they weren't really a new wave group otherwise, but they still made it.

Lots of songs by Romeo Void, as Deborah Iyall speaks the lyrics more than she sings. Never Say Never and Just Too Easy off the top of my head.
