If you could hang for one evening...

...with one of your New Wave fave artists/idols, who would it be and why?

Mine would be Annabella Lwin of Bow Wow Wow. I had a major crush on her as a kid and I would be fascinated to hear about her stories about Malcolm MacLaren, being a wunderkind frontwoman, and all of the things she's done and experienced.

Samantha Fox..
..and her Girlfriend.. because..... [:D]

Seriously though, I think Maybe getting a chance to chat with Duran Duran would be great.. specifically for me Roger Taylor. He is a talented (and very under-rated) drummer. He and the rest of the band have certainly been on an amazing ride.. heck.. they are still on it.

Probably the Finn brothers. I'd like to know what the hell was going on in their heads when they came up with Split Enz. It'd also be interesting since they're from the other side of the world and have done lots of things since.

Celebrate The Nun/Scooter

but if it was a date, then definitely Keren Woodward of Bananarama. She's older now and sexier than ever.

I hung out with GG Allin in 1987. After doing that everyone else pales in comparisson.

Clare Grogan. If she fancied a boy who looked like Gordon John Sinclair ("Gregory"), then I would've had a chance with her. [:D] Also, I want to know what the deal is with the guy-in-a-lion-suit in the "I Could Be Happy" video.

I think it'd be fun to hang with Joe Strummer in a pub.

Also-I'd like to go to an after-hours joint with the Fleshtones after they finished a gig.

I'm sorry, but that just reminded me of something I had kind of forgotten about. A long time ago, GG Allin and his band came in the store where I worked. They pretty much took over the store. I was standing behind a counter, trying to show him things in a display case and all of a sudden there was a slow hand coming around the counter and grabbing my behind(up my skirt). I was terrified of them. One of the guys in his band - was frantically showing me some Lunachicks tour book that he seemed to be obsessed with, then I later saw him doing "something" while looking at the same book in that some GG Allin video that came out after he died. Nightmares.

... a night in Kling Klang would be prettty great.

I'd like to hang around with the guys in Devo when they 1st got things going. They were probably just a bunch of goofy guys (like me) who had came up with this crazy idea and ended up getting so excited about it that they took it ALL THE WAY. Imagine how they eventually felt wearing those outfits, playing on American Bandstand. Like GODS.

I'd have loved to hang out with MADNESS. They were always goofing around; and what about when you see their videos--don't they just look like funny-as-hell guys that would be nutty ?

Heh, I love the video for My Mistake. What are the Finn brothers up to these days?
