Crappy Songs. Any Ideas?

Lately there's been some problems at the place I work. There's these three guys who keep coming in and bothering people and trying to sell stuff and scaring off customers. These guys just wont go away. But I have an idea. I though maybe if I compile a bunch of CD's full of bad, cheesy, crappy songs and play them at work on the music system maybe they'll go away then.

I'd like some suggestions. Does anyone know of any really bad or cheesy songs I could put on these CD's? Maybe even some really cheesy songs from the 70's or 80's or early 90's?

<p align="justify">Not "crappy" in the least, but you should slip on some Throbbing Gristle, Neu!, and Einsturzende Neubauten in the mix[}:)]

The Macarena on endless loop(!)...or take a tip from the movie "PCU" and use Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band. Or maybe some super-depressing songs of death (Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald, Seasons In The Sun, Last Kiss....)

Of the new wave era, "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo and "Puttin' on the Ritz" by Taco are the two that seem the most scorned (unless you put Right Said Fred in this era). Those are fine. "Shiny Shiny" is pushing a little, "Wild Boys" gets on my nerves . . . now for some reason the general campy nature of "Mickey" does not get on my nerves, though a B-52's rewrite would've helped make it cooler. Oh, and not new wave, but really the worst during the new wave era is hands down, "Heart Attack" by Olivia Newton John.

Painful 70s cheese: "Loving You" by (I think) Minnie Ripperton - the one with the birds chirping in it and she sings "La La La La La" waaay too much.

If cheese doesn't work, you could go for creepy, like Sonic Youth's cover of the Carpenter's "Superstar" -- talk about bringing out the stalker in a classic tune. Though, come to think of it, you could get some fairly good cheese in the Carpenters' cover of "Ticket to Ride".

Oh, and William Shatner. Any song by William Shatner should do the trick. Try his cover of "Rocket Man".

7-11s in my area of Los Angeles County play "classical" music to keep people (kids, young punks, etc.) from loitering in the parking lots because they are playing "classical" music... it seems to work... or just record one song, like "Love Is a Splendad Thing" (or some Montivan orchestra stuff)onto your CD-R, and put on repeat! [/quote]I heard that some establishments were trying this idea out, playing Barry Manilow to get the kids to move along. I also heard on the news that there is a higher frequency pitch that affects teenagers, but not adults, so they are researching the idea of playing this high pitch sound that most adults cannot hear, and thus the teens move on.

Thanks, it took years to forget that tripe, now it's back in my head. At least Shatner is good for a laugh, especially his version of Mr. Tamborine Man.

Make a loop of Rammsteins "You Hate Me" and shave your head (getting some ink would be a plus). That'll scare them off, if nothing else does. You may just scare off your regular customers as well.

Just put a "No Solicitors" sign on the office door.

You really want these songs for yourself, huh, jumpshift? [:D]
