... SO who knows about this band? I was just recently turned on to them and the two songs I have heard so far I fell right in love with "Time" and "Something On Your Mind"

Who are these guys? I really like them and would love to hear more, any other songs you can recommend by them, or info you can provide would be great! thank you

"Let Me Take Your Foto" (currently being used as the theme of "The Tonight Show's" Universal Studios Free Photo Booth segs) was an early MTV video. The 45 also goes for a lot of money on ePay. I ought to know. I tried to win 4 or 5 copies before giving up.

There are two more Speedies songs to be found on this excellent Power Pop comp: Yellow
Pills Pre-fill

These guys are power pop rockers (The Speedies)! Their first single, and maybe that second one (?) was produced by Clem Burke, Blondie's drummer (and Checker'd Past's drummer for those that saw them live at Madame Wong's in Los Angeles). It's nice to see them on a sort of come back thanks to the HP commercial "Road Trip."

And the CD (Yellow Pills Pre-fill) ekahob mentioned is a great one to own!

Clem produced the second one (Something on My Mind/Time), not the first. So says the site I posted to the link to.

I've been waiting patiently for "You Need Pop!" to progress from iTunes to an actual CD. I don't do paid digital downloads.

Let Me Take Your Photo is available in full digital glory on an out-of print cd called The Great New York Singles Scene, an EXCELLENT compilation of NYC New Wave from 1975 to 1980 (Marbles, Nervus Rex, US Ape, Student Teachers, Mumps and more). Originally released as a cassette tape by R.O.I.R. it was released on cd by Danceteria, a French company. Great liner notes as well.

Agreed the ROIR CD is an excellent comp, and the only place to find a track by the Erasers, but the sound on some songs is awful, especially Student Teachers' "Past Tense". However, that was the CD on which I discovered the Student Teachers so I'm very grateful to Tom Goodkind, who compiled it.
